Wound Center opens at Rivers Health

Outpatient center dedicated to the care of patients with wounds

Rivers Health, a member of Marshall Health Network, announced the opening of the Rivers Health Wound Center, a specialized outpatient wound care treatment center dedicated to the care of patients with wounds.

At the center, patients are examined by a multidisciplinary team trained in advanced wound care. This team assesses their symptoms and identifies any underlying conditions that may affect healing, allowing them to customize the most effective treatment plans.

“Our dedicated clinical staff understands the totality of the patient from a perspective of wound healing,” said Yuna Farah-Peterson, medical director for the Wound Center. “We are committed to treating not only the wound but also the underlying causes.”

The Rivers Health Wound Center offers a comprehensive approach to wound care that is both aggressive and thorough, coordinating traditional and advanced therapies to aid and accelerate the healing process. The highly skilled team features physicians, nurses and technicians with advanced training in wound care.
