Licensed respiratory therapists at Rivers Health play a critical role in treating lung disorders like COPD, asthma, bronchitis and emphysema, as well as acute breathing problems associated with heart attacks, strokes and other traumatic events.

Respiratory therapy services at RH include nebulization, arterial blood gas testing for the diagnosis of lung disease and diabetic ketoacidosis, stress testing, spirometry and other pulmonary function testing. In the ICU, our respiratory therapy team provides ventilator support and other critical care services. As part of Marshall Health Network, we offer state-of-the-art respiratory therapy equipment, including new BiPAP machines that provide noninvasive ventilation for patients with hypoventilatory disorders.
