Sports Physicals & Screening EKGs
Rivers Health Sports Medicine and Therapy Services and providers from the Rivers Health Regional Health Center are offering sports physicals and screening EKGs to student athletes in Mason County.
On Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Rivers Health will provide screening EKGs for student athletes planning to participate in middle school or high school sports during the 2024-2025 sports seasons. The EKGs will be read by physicians from the RHC to help parents understand whether they should schedule a follow-up appointment with their pediatrician or a specialist before allowing their student to participate in athletics or band activities.
- Physicals are $10 each with the proceeds going back to the student's school. The screening EKGs are free.
- Parents or legal guardians must be present with students and will be asked to complete a medical history as part of the screening.
- Screening EKGs are limited to the first 100 people to call 304.675.7222.
- Additional dates for screening EKGs will be announced soon.
